Considered installation

The right position.
A clean connection.

The wall, the TV and the equipment all shape the installation.

TV mounting & viewing position

Choose a mount suited to the TV’s specifications and the wall construction. Position the screen around the seating, viewing height, reflections and access behind it.

Cable concealment & source equipment

Plan accessible routes for HDMI, Ethernet and audio. Choose an appropriate in-wall route or a tidy surface solution, and coordinate power work with the electrician where needed.

Streaming, soundbars & controls

Connect the sources and available network connection, integrate compatible sound equipment, and make the everyday input and volume controls understandable.

Learn more: hardwiring a TV or streaming device

Ethernet provides a dedicated network connection and can reduce the streaming load on shared Wi-Fi. It also gives the installer a cable path that can be labeled, tested and serviced.

We check the TV or streamer’s Ethernet capability and the wider network. A cable alone does not change the internet plan or every device’s performance. Plan the jack behind the screen or at the equipment location, with access for service.

Learn more: mounting and concealment

Mount compatibility, TV weight, wall support and the manufacturer’s fixing instructions guide the mounting plan. Cable access should remain practical after the screen is installed.

Construction prewire is the best opportunity to agree the screen position, mounting support, power location, data jack and equipment access before the wall is finished.

A little clarity

Questions worth asking.

Can you conceal all the TV cables?

We assess the wall and available routes first. Options may include suitable in-wall pathways or a tidy surface route. Power needs are coordinated appropriately rather than assumed from the cable-concealment plan.

Should we add Ethernet behind the TV?

It is useful to plan a wired option for fixed TVs and streaming equipment. We check the device’s Ethernet capability and agree an accessible jack location.

When should a new TV wall be planned?

Before drywall, while mounting support, power and low-voltage routes are accessible. That is the best time to agree the screen and equipment locations.
